Sweet Boy

Yesterday Ben was sitting with me in the pool and he pointed up to a cloud that covered the sun and said, "Mom, we're doewing to have a wunderstorm!" with much concern.

I guess all my discussion about the danger of being in the water when there are electrical storms have sunk in with him. I totally adore that he calls it a wunderstorm!! I think I will go and give him some candy.

Here he is with his daddy on Father's Day:
Here he is with Keaton at Keaton's Birthday Party:

WoW!

This morning I made a zebra blanky for Ben. I called him upstairs to give it to him and as he was climbing up the stairs he said,
"Aww, Mom, you made that for me? Wow!"
He loves it! Yay! I win!

And off he goes, back downstairs to play

He's Terribly Terrific Two

He's so big.
He's so little.
He's not a baby anymore!
He's almost as big a fighter as that 5 year old brother of his.
He's just as sweet, too!
He could scream the ears off of a snake.
I love him a little bit.

Painting Is Fun

Today I let Ben paint with a paintbrush and his fingers. He really liked it and it was very entertaining to watch him be creative and experience the look and feel of the paint on his hands and on the paper.

Potty Dance

Benjamin woke up this morning and said, "Mom, I want to pee in the potty."

Then I took off his diaper, sat him on the potty, and he did pee!

Walter has been taking him to the potty for a little over a week at diaper changes. He's really getting the hang of it!!

Woo Hoo, Ben!

Two Years and Two Months

Ben talks in sentences these days. He is delightful. Sometimes I look at him and see my wonderful little baby - and then he says, "Mommy, when can we have dinner?"

"Mommy, I'm poopy, I'm stinky!"
"Play Play-Doh, Daddy. Just one minute, please!"
"It's puzzle time!"
"This is not hot, it's just warm."

Today he brought me the piggy bank and a screw driver and said, "I want the money out. Open it, Mommy."
